Birch Aquarium Presentation

On Friday, November 30th The Level 3 students were treated to an “All About Fish” presentation by a staff member from the Stephen Birch Aquarium. External examination and internal dissection of Pacific mackerel helped the students to better understand the special adaptations fish have to survive in their marine environments. The external investigation of fish shape, color and unique characteristics provided students with the clues to identify where fish live and how they survive. This hands-on experience was fun and informative.
