Lo Ann Jundt has been involved with Montessori education since 1964, when she traveled to London, England, and received her first Montessori Certification for teaching ages 2-7, from the International Association for Progressive Montessorians. In 1980 she received her second Montessori Certification in Bergamo, Italy, for teaching ages 6-12, from the Association Montessori International. Formerly a public school teacher, she holds a California Life Teaching Credential for Grades K-8. In 1975, Ms. Jundt purchased a small pre-school in an area of San Diego known as Bay Park. That pre-school of 35 children, over the years and with a new location and larger facility, has grown into the present Montessori School House/Maria Montessori Elementary with 240 children ages 3-12. Ms. Jundt is also Director/Instructor of the Montessori Teachers College of San Diego. Back to Main Page
